When my stories are about my personal experience I for sure want photos representative of me. That's a whole other ball of wax, finding decent non stereotyped photos of senior White women that don't involve grandchildren or a walker (kidding).

I hear you about overreprentation of White people, men in particular, but as you say, writing about one's personal history, it would seem odd to show a Black man, for example. If possible, I try to create editorial images with my own photography or find something non representationsl entirely.
