Twitter just announced it's rolling back the update due to accessibility issues for some types of users.
While your points are well taken, there are many instances where the "new" is objectively worse. For example, I tried the "new" Outlook on Mac. New Outlook can no longer import an ics file, nor can I use drag and drop to duplicate an event. Does it "look" more modern? Sure. But it's less usable, so I am sticking with the "old" version as long as possible. (BTW: Microsoft says it's "working on" duplicating events. Um, how about re-using the code you had working before?)
