This is pretty much where I've settled. A bit of both.

I wonder if you've had the experience of a publication you've written a lot for, gotten a lot of traction, and then the publication seems to take a downward trajectory, publishing more and more of what you consider click-bait or poorly written pieces? I'm wrestling with that now: Do I continue submitting pieces, or do I not want to be associated with them any more?

I used to occasionally get edits for grammar. Now I read pieces there that are full of poor grammar and typos, and I'm wondering if I should cut bait. They have a large following, they promote on Twitter, but…
