This is a great insight, Judith! I had a tendency to say yes to things as well, but when the time came to do them, I realized I had made a poor choice for use of my time.

I've tried a few things in retirement that after taking a stab at them, said, Nope, not that interested. Even some volunteer activities that didn't really fulfill my needs.

I've had a few folks randomly try to entice me to get back into things related to web design or UX work, former professional roles, and I have learned to say No to those. Flattered, but just don't want to deal with clients and their goals.

I'm not even sure I want to do another 100 Day Project this year, after doing one for 7 years in a row. Still pondering that one. I'm finding myself just feeling psychologically and physically exhausted due to what's going on. I was keeping pretty busy since retiring in late 2022, but now may actually do the "decompress" and down-shift that people expected me to do then!
