These round-up solicitations have gotten out of control. Now they are at the gas pump, grocery store, craft store. And to asked to "round up" when my total comes to, say, $20.05, that's not "rounding up" in my sense of the word. Like so much of corporate America, they jump on some idea to excess. I grocery shop several times a week, in small quantities, and I am tired of being hit up for a donation every single transaction.
I donate directly to organizations I support, not all of them tax deductible. I hope this trend dies soon.
