There's the key. In America, apartments are, generally speaking, not built with soundproofing, or even sufficient closets for actual long-term living—especially in the "luxury" aka overpriced ones. Granite countertops are no replacement for a linen closet, a decent size coat closet, and a decent size bedroom closet, at the minimum. Closets are the one thing I like about my 75-year-old apartment complex's units.
