The way the lanes are set up now, it is very difficult for a customer to do their own bagging. Even if I wanted to. Which I don't. It has nothing to do with white privilege. My father was a steelworker, my mother a waitress. She didn't expect her customers to get up and pour themselves their own water or get their own silver ware. I do pre-sort my items in the cart to make it easier for the cashier to bag things efficiently. But no, bagging is kind of part of their job. Not mine.
