The travesty that is "recruiting" these days is a joke. Fake feelers for jobs that they don't actually want to fill with an American citizen but have to document that they tried so they can get H1B visa slots; random "great opportunities" for things you are totally unqualified for in cities thousands of miles away from where you are, information which is readily available on my profile in LinkedIn.

I've gotten through multiple rounds of interviews, told I don't have enough of the right experience and then find out (again LinkedIn) that they hired someone 20 years younger with zero such experience. And employers wonder why it's so hard to find good workers.
