The problem with using 10 as your base is you end up with odd numbers with multiples. And odd numbers, like 5 or 15, lead to fuzzy borders. It's better to use 16 as the base; half and quarters are still even numbers. And really, 10px as the base is much much too tiny for legibility for anyone who isn't 15 years old with perfect vision.
