The numbers are just ridiculous. I am living "comfortably" by my definition on much less than $89k annual income or $1M in retirement savings. But I don't "need" expensive cars, $300 a month cable packages, dinners out multiple times a month, etc. And I live outside DC in an expensive suburb, as a renter.
