From the outside looking in, my job wasn't that stressful. I worked from home since March 2020, so no commute, no dressing up (though I did not work in sweatpants!), supportive manager and coworkers (most of them), and I was an individual contributor.
But about 18 months ago, I realized the emotional labor involved in trying to collaborate with others who weren't team players, and the mental stress of constantly changing priorities and having to put down what I was working on and pick up something else, times 10. I guess I was used to "being productive" and now I feel like I'm not. Maybe the "product" is learning to relax, LOL.
