Thank you for revealing that the Apple emperor has no clothes. I'm a graphic, web, and UX designer by trade. I've used Apple products since the first Macs in the mid 1980s.
It's my view that Apple talks a good game about usability but consistently puts form above function. Grayscale or monochrome icons on desktop, a UI font not well hinted for screens, and pointless animations on ipods and iphones, as if having an actions pane bounce in from the bottom is a valuable new "feature" in iOS 15. Sacrificing functionality in the incessant push for lighter weight.
