So true. I picked up pickleball after decades of playing basketball and tennis. I work on my game and in the past two months, decided to teach myself two different ways to serve. I also am now more focused on strategy than when I started out.
I'm taking a few online arts classes and started doing Gelli Plate printing, trying to learn how to achieve effects I see and like.
I started saving for retirement in my 50s. I also started planning for life in retirement by cultivating an arts and crafts hobby and challenging myself to learn new techniques.
I haven't missed working more than once or twice, though I do miss having people ask me how to solve problems or strategize on building a new feature in an app. I'm about to write a story about one year of retirement and what I've learned.
