My retired, fixed income parents would go to the local KMart for $1 hot dog day. And then end up spending $20 on stuff. So does that make up for these two folks who, gasp, drink two FREE cups of coffee and leave? Wow, are we all really that chintzy to paint these people as takers for this? They may be living on a tiny social security check and now trying to pay for more expensive groceries thanks to profiteering price increases.
