My issue with self-checkout at groceries is I am not trained as a cashier. I have to look things up. Enter codes. And I don’t get a discount for saving the store money in labor costs. No UX improvement will make me feel better about taking work away from live cashiers and being asked to take on a part-time job I am not skilled at.
