Let me pose a real world scenario: a senior living on a fixed income who goes to their library to hear an author talk, to get out of the house and get some social interaction and learn something. The average Social Security check is about $1500. Books are now being sold for what, $25 or $30? That's a big chunk of that person's budget for the month from which to pay for food, medicine, and other living expenses.
I guess those folks should just stay home, instead of thinking that some event at their local FREE library doesn't require a purchase.
