I've written about their sidebar "Recommended" stories, which typically have no relation to the story I wrote or that I'm reading. They changed the heading to "Also on Medium" but it's still not just useless but counterproductive to keeping people on Medium. When you're sent to a story totally unrelated to what you just read, you bounce.


I'd change those links to one story using a tag the author gave to the piece. Or the last three stories by the author. Give SOME indication as to why those stories are there in the sidebar for readers, not Medium's agenda.
