It's so interesting how we Americans (assume you are one) think that doing something that feeds our soul is "wasting" time. Retirement means not being "productive" because we're not doing something that makes a company money. Maybe if you think about it as spending your time wisely given there isn't an infinite number of hours in our lives, that might help. Just a thought.

P.S. I go through the same thought process when I'm making fabric jewelry that doesn't sell. "I'm wasting my time." Then I try to shift perspective and enjoy the process, the things I'm learning, the meditative state I get in. Not so "wasteful" after all. Mostly, LOL
