I usually have similar experiences out in the world of stores and restaurants, perhaps because since I live alone, I like to chat up service staff. It brightens my day.

Now if only I could get anyone I pass by on the walking paths to actually make eye contact and allow me to smile a hello. I passed by not one, but two sourpusses this morning, in less than a mile walk. Gr.
