I think there is a cancerous sickness in American society, started during the Reagan "maximize your own returns" administration. It seems like men like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg can never have enough. Enough money, enough customers. It feels pathological. As I was chatting with a friend this morning, there is no reason for billionaires to exist in a just, humane, and ethical society.
