I retired two years ago. My profile is still up, but my summary indicates I'm retired. If I deleted it, I'd miss the occasional entertainment of telling a random recruiter who clearly hasn't read my profile to buzz off. It's ridiculous they send you "amazing opportunities" in another city that clearly do not match your skills or experience.

When I was a year out from retirement I had the pleasure of turning down feelers from Facebook. Told them straight out I wouldn't work for a company whose CEO had no moral compass. Felt really good that day.
