I recently fell for a price too good to be true trying to buy another pair of the sneakers I like. I did a Google shopping search for the sneakers and Google sent me to what looked like a legit site where the sneakers were about 25 percent less than Amazon. Thankfully I paid via PayPal. When I got an order confirmation that was from an email address with dev in the mail to, I knew this was a scam. Also when no confirmation came from my credit card company that I'd used some cash back rewards points. Long story short, the transaction was finally cancelled by PayPal after 30 days. There was no way to contact the company inside PayPal, which should have been a red flag to PayPal itself, plus an anonymized WhoIs. Besides we being diligent, PayPal itself shouldn't allow vendors who have no contact info and no public contact info in their domain registration.
