I loved riding my bike during my school years. I'd ride to the tennis courts about 4 miles from my house. I got a mountain bike living in Chicago, and one time I rode from Rogers Park to Evanston along the lake (it's a good 10 miles).

Then I moved to DC. After my bike chain came off trying to ride up an incline in Rock Creek Park, I realized I wasn't in flat Chicago anymore. Haven't ridden since. I occasionally think about renting a bike, but I don't see out of my left eye and I am in terror of being hit without even seeing it coming, as a friend with osteoporosis was. She "luckily" only had a broken wrist.

Now it's slightly painful just walking with whatever is going on with my hips, one of which is not original equipment from the manufacturer.

I've take up pickleball after decades of various team and individual sports. Just now recovering from a knee injury due to a missing ligament.

Yep, aging sucks.
