I kept mine for my Macs and monitors because I have moved often and wanted boxes that snugly fit the product. No fetishization involved. I'm actually appalled that people are fetishizing boxes. Then again, I don't need to psychologically justify dropping $700 on a phone, because I'm of an age that sees a phone as a tool, not an identity statement.
