I have to disagree with you about adding more tags. The more tags you use, the harder it is for someone to find stories that are directly relevant to any one tag. If I am looking for stories about baseball, for example, I want to see stories about baseball, not stories about balls, sports, athletic shoes, and on and on. Tags should reflect the CENTRAL one or two topics of a story, not a list of everything mentioned in passing.

I say this based on overseeing lots of blogs over the years and seeing what happens when tagging goes out of control.
