I have been more on the perfectionist side most of my adult life, but now I have come to appreciate the small wins: Woo hoo, I can now put my sneakers on like a normal, non-post-op person! Yeah, I didn't get that collage done, but I painted a bunch of papers in preparation. And so on. Much less stress, many more chances for a little chair dance.
