I had a love-hate relationship with LinkedIn when I was still in the labor market. Spam tech recruiters offering me jobs I was supposedly a “perfect fit” for, even though I lived in DC and the job was in Texas, or the job required some coding language and I was a UX designer. But I got the last job of my worklife from a posting there, a job that turned out to be really great, and let me work from home from March 2020 until I retired.

They keep sending me email about “Don’t miss out on this discussion about [fill in the blank].” I hate for them to find out, but I have filters set up to send them straight to my Trash folder.

I still occasionally am contacted by some recruiter who clearly has not actually read my profile that clearly states I’m retired. I think from now on I will just respond: Try actually READING my profile. LOL
