I got good enough on my blue Schwinn to ride hands free, even turning! I also recall stretching that phone cord into the bathroom and closing the door so I could have some privacy. First few years in our new subdivision, we also had a "party line." Heavy breathing between girl and boy was a universal experience, apparently!
