I find it interesting how often my entire generation is painted as sociopaths (literally!) due to the decisions and policies put in place by Ronald Reagan (not a Boomer, Silent Generation) and Wall St., as if we all voted for those things; or that we are totally self-centered, overlooking that some of our generation led the Vietnam War protests, launched Earth Day, and risked their lives going down South to register Black voters. I dunno, but making selfie videos to share on TikTok sounds a tad self-centered to me, but then I'm old and grumpy, right?
All the millions of actual people in anyone of these supposed "cohorts" aren't exactly alike.
As to some supposed age-related technological deficit, let's see Millennials use cursive or drive a stick shift. I work with folks in the Millennial cohort who can't (actually won't) learn new professional tools, while I'm offering informal tutorials on advanced features.
Maybe some of us Boomers just don't feel compelled to learn how to make videos for TikTok or create emojis for their phones; maybe we feel that we have more interesting or better things to do with the time we have left!
