My Democratic Congressman emailed me a copy of his open letter to Federal employees about not taking the "buyout"—12 hours before the deadline, after 20,000+ horses had already left the barn. I told him we need LEADERSHIP, not letters and handwringing. (I'm retired so not sure why he was emailing me this)

One of my Democratic Senators held a vigil for the plane crash victims (I live outside DC in Northern Va). I told him he needs to hold a vigil for the impending death of democracy. That's what POLITICAL leadership is.
