I could handle learning new software. I enjoy the challenge to learn shortcuts. The stress that ultimately led to my decision to retire was the cognitive strain of trying to juggle work on multiple features at once, doing foundational work, and then having priorities change. Picking up and putting down work over and over again became exhausting.
