I appreciate this effort to improve hiring processes.

What concerns me is the subconscious biases that may come into play if a candidate isn’t young, attractive, thin, fit, etc. It is well documented that people perceived to be “not like us” in some way are discriminated against, whether it’s weight, attractiveness, race, having a physical handicap. What if the candidate doesn’t have quality lighting environment for their video interview? Or nowhere to have a quiet video conference?
