I agree. It is psychologically QUITE different to see people around a conference table vs the bizarre invasive in your face view of everyone. Studies show that this leads to exhaustion. My employer instituted no-cameras Fridays. (If only they would also dispense with the meetings that are simply to show a slide deck to 50 people, wasting 50 hours of payroll and benefits.)
