Funny story: I was born in 1957. Too young to have seen Leave it to Beaver on its initial run. Not sure why, because I recall watching Father Knows Best and I Love Lucy. In any event, I discovered Beaver when I was in college in the late '70s, on afternoon reruns. I actually scheduled classes so that I'd get home in time to watch. As you say, it was only 30 minutes.
