Everyone's workplace differs, obviously, but I work where people I work with are spread over multiple floors, and some team members (developers, partners) live in other cities. I have more spontaneous interaction with them now that we are all "remote" from our homes than I did when I was on site, in a cubicle sitting next to coworkers who all had headphones on to eliminate all those "spontaneous" productivity killers.
