A spam email occasionally hits my inbox, in which the sender bot praises my Instagram account but then tells me how it could be so much better with their help, which would get me "the followers I deserve". Oh, Britney, Alicia, or whatever bogus name of the day you're using, honey, I don't care if I get more followers. My life will not be improved in the least.

I get it if you're someone who's trying to make money selling your stuff or courses, but in the grand scheme of life ... Not only that, but a million followers, none of whom buy your art, gets you where, exactly?
